Bio
Alek Hidell is an Italian producer and musician now based in Milan.
In his music, abstract hip hop gives way to dance beats or psychedelic digressions on kraut rhythms. He plays with 70’s prog sounds and library music like Umiliani and Piccioni, but also contaminates his sound with Afro and Balearic elements. Anyways, he always manages to sound like nobody but himself. AZer the release of his first single, Dinghy (Bad Panda Records), Alek Hidell has just finished recording his first album. He produces his tracks using samplers, tape echoes and analog synths. He contributed to
IOSONOUCANE's DIE album, recording synths and sampling on two tracks on the album, and produced remixes for Any Other, Matilde Davoli, IOSONOUNCANE, Indianizer, Neeva.
